Canadian regional coverage

Take-home pay and RRSP estimates use full-year rates and basic payroll credits. Personal circumstances and tax-return-only credits can change your final tax.

Basic personal amounts are credit bases, not a promise of tax-free income. Federal and provincial credits can differ.

Property transfer taxes by region

Sell, Buy & Move uses country, purchase province and municipality. Automatic estimates cover Ontario provincial tax, Toronto municipal tax and its administration fee, and British Columbia property transfer tax including the additional residential tier. The other 11 provinces and territories require a combined regional tax quote. US states are not supported yet.

These resale residential rules apply April 1 to December 31, 2026. No first-time-buyer rebates, other exemptions, new-build GST/HST, foreign-buyer taxes or mixed-use calculations are included. Purchase price is assumed to equal taxable consideration and fair market value. Other registration and closing costs are entered separately.

Compound interest and savings growth

The compound interest calculator uses generic monthly compounding, with optional deposit timing, rising contributions and percentage fees. Results are before tax and after modelled fees. The pre-tax formula does not vary by province. Rates and inflation are user assumptions, not a market feed. The methodology includes a published independent example and distinguishes nominal growth from purchasing power. Version monthly-growth-v3, reviewed October 23, 2026.
